Emilee Dube’

Emilee’s newest artistic adventure is Carolina Stitchworks, where she creates art quilts based on inspirations from the beach and mountains of North Carolina where she is fortunate to live and spend time. Carolina Stitchworks combines Emilee’s background of formal art training with her twenty years experience as a quilter and designer. She holds a B.A. in Studio Art & Education from Denison University, taught elementary art in TX, and spent ten years working as a designer & teacher at Oklahoma Quiltworks in Oklahoma City. She now splits her time between Beech Mountain, Oak Island, & Dallas, TX sewing as much as she can while enjoying her family and two puppies.

Each work of art is unique. Emilee creates drawings then selects & cuts fabrics to give them color and dimension. Turning them into “Stitchworks” is what really brings them to life and makes them distinct. To do so, she returns to drawing again, this time with colored threads and her sewing machine; using free-motion quilting to cover the piece with stitches. Emilee’s art quilts are made with high-quality quilt cotton that are conveniently non-breakable and are machine washable if necessary. Small hanging rings are stitched onto the back for ease of display. Each comes with a signed Certificate.
